Christopher Morrell BDS, LDS, RCS (Eng)

Christopher qualified as a dentist from Guy’s Dental Hospital in 1983, gaining his Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Licentiate of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons.

He started the practice in Amersham in 1983 with a view to building a practice that offers a wide range of treatments and care, in a supportive environment that benefits patients and staff alike.

Modern dentistry is continuously evolving, and Christopher has always kept ahead of the rapid technological advances; he has been working with dental implants since 1997, and maintains his clinical expertise through frequent participation in postgraduate training.

He is committed to keeping both his skills and his enthusiasm up-to-date and enjoys dentistry as much today as when he first began.

Alka Valecha BDS (Lond)

Alka qualified in 1997 at Guy's and St Thomas' Dental Hospital, and shortly after established her first London dental practice. Her focus is on providing excellent care to communities, delivering a wide range of treatments to meet the individual needs of all her patients.

As a contemporary practitioner, Alka's ethos is to offer non-invasive solutions wherever possible. She continues to build her skillset, embracing and adopting the latest developments and technologies, and is currently undertaking a Diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry.

As a long-standing Chesham Bois resident, where she lives with her family, Alka is excited to be part of a local practice that is committed to excellence. She looks forward to offering her patients personalised care and building long-term relationships!

Amish Raichura BDS (Hons), MJDF RCS (Eng), Dip Imp Dent RCS (Ed), Pg Cert (Dental Education)

Amish studied dentistry at Guy's King's and St Thomas' Hospital. He graduated with honours in 2008. In his time there, he received certificates of excellence in Conservative Dentistry and Dental Radiography

He has successfully acquired the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties from the Royal College of Surgeons (England), which is testament to his commitment to continual education.

From an early stage in his career he developed an interest in dental implants. He was taught and mentored by some of the most prestigious implantologists in the world. He has been placing dental implants since 2011 and formalized his training by acquiring the coveted Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh).

He also has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and has completed a one year Advanced Certificate in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry. Combined with his artistic flair, these skills have enabled him to deliver highly aesthetic results.

He has coupled his passion for dentistry with his devotion to teaching by becoming a trainer for newly qualified dentists as they embark upon their profession. To assist him with his teaching, he has completed a one year Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education.

Amish takes a great deal of pride in staying informed of modern advances in dentistry. He likes nothing more than using the latest techniques to put a smile on his patients faces.

Rikke Vyas, DDS Tandlaege (DK)

Rikke qualified as a dentist in 1993 from The Royal Dental College, Aarhus, Denmark - one of the top twenty dental colleges in the world.

Having spent six months at Manchester University Dental Hospital as an exchange student, she decided she wanted to return to the UK after qualifying.

Rikke therefore spent her first year working as a House Officer at The Royal London Dental Hospital from 1993-94 and registered with the General Dental Council, UK in 1994.

Rikke now has over twenty three years of experience as a General Dentist within the UK and has worked in private dental clinics in London and Oxford. Rikke carries out all general dental treatments and offers a calm and sympathetic treatment approach to patients of all ages.

Rikke strives to continually improve and update her skills in order to provide the best possible service to all her patients. Her continuing professional development has included courses on:

• Cosmetic restorative treatment techniques
• Cosmetic treatments with Inman Aligners
• Root canal treatments
• Treatment of Periodontitis ("gum disease")

From 2008 to 2010 Rikke studied and gained her diploma with merit in endodontics (root canal treatment) at Queen Mary University, London. This additional training has increased her diagnostic and clinical skills to the benefit of her patients.

Rikke also has a particular interest in aesthetic dentistry. She has extensive experience in providing cosmetic "smile design" treatments using Inman Aligners, composite materials and ceramic crowns and veneers.

Rikke relocated to Amersham with her family and is delighted to have joined Lindfield -a practice that values high quality dentistry and fosters long term relationships with it's patients.

Helen Travess BDSHons(Lond), FDS(Orth)RCS(Edin), MSc(Bristol), MOrth RCS(Edin)

Helen is a Specialist Orthodontist, registered on the General Dental Council’s specialist list (71090), who splits her week between a post as Consultant Orthodontist at Amersham and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals, and private orthodontic practice here at Lindfield.  Helen enjoys the variety of work this brings and the delight of meeting a range of different patients. Excellence in clinical care has always been a key feature of Helen’s work, and she has won prizes throughout her training for her outstanding clinical skills and warm, personal approach to patients.

She qualified as a dentist at Guy’s Dental Hospital in 1995, completed a number of years in hospital posts in London, Bristol and Leicester, and spent time in general dental practice.  She has gained her Membership in Orthodontics, a Fellowship in Orthodontics, and a Master of Science degree.  The aspect of her work that she enjoys most is the interaction with her patients and their families, helping them to grow in confidence as their smile emerges.

Helen Veeroo BDS(Hons) MClinDent MFDS MOrth RCS Edin

Helen Veeroo is also one of our Specialist Orthodontists, and is on the General Dental Council’s specialist list. Helen works part time as a Specialty Doctor in Orthodontics at Stoke Mandeville Hospital as well as here at the Lindfield. She has a passion for providing high quality orthodontic treatment and offers a wide variety of fixed and removable braces, including Invisalign. She regularly attends courses to keep up to date with advances in treatment and developments in orthodontics.

Helen graduated with Honours from the University of Bristol in 2005, and was awarded the gold medal for her graduating year. She gained knowledge in a range of dental specialties in the UK and Australia before undertaking three years further training in Orthodontics. She was awarded Masters in Orthodontics from UCL Eastman Dental Institute, with distinction in 2012. She also has her Membership in Orthodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

Helen always takes time to discuss her patient’s concerns, requirements and expectations in order to provide a personalised treatment plan, and will outline all treatment options that are available. Helen treats patients of all ages but particularly enjoys treating children, developing a rapport with her patients to put them at ease throughout their treatment.

Rupinder Reel BDS Hons (Liverpool), FDS RCS MRD RCS Eng.

Rupi is a Specialist Endodontist registered on the General Dental Council’s list (73329). 

Rupi qualified from Liverpool University in 1997 as a dental surgeon with BDS (Hons).   She gained experience working in both general dental practice and hospital environments, developing expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery. In 2003, Rupi attended Guy's Hospital for postgraduate training in endodontics, where she qualified as MRD RCS Eng, and has been registered as a Specialist since 2007.

Currently, Rupi works in general dental practice solely in endodontics.   Rupi has a very open and engaging personal style, and prides herself in providing the very highest standards of personal attention and clinical care. 

Dr. Gurprit Bhamrah Consultant Orthodontist BDS; MJDF RCS; PgCert (Paeds); MSc (Ortho); M.Orth RCS; FDS (Ortho) RCS

Dr Gurprit Bhamrah is a dental surgeon and has specialist qualifications in Orthodontics. She qualified from Manchester University and then completed a Master’s in Orthodontics from King’s College London, and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Orthodontics. Gurprit then went on to complete Consultant training at King’s College Hospital attaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Orthodontics.

Gurprit is committed to providing high quality treatment for both children and adults utilising the full range of orthodontic systems including conventional metal or tooth-coloured ceramic braces, lingual appliances and aligners systems such as Invisalign.

Gurprit is also a hospital Consultant in Orthodontics at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. As well as providing routine orthodontic treatment she works along side maxillofacial surgeons to carry out orthodontic treatment for special complex cases.

Chelsea King RDH RDT(Eng)

Chelsea started her career in general dental practice in Chesterfield in 2003 and qualified in both dental nursing and in practice management.  She so enjoyed her early dental career, that she then went on to earn a place at the University of Sheffield Dental School for three years.  She took her final exams there in 2011 and qualified as both a Dental Hygienist and Therapist, allowing her to work both as a dental hygenist and in addition to place restorations.

Her first post was with a dental practice in Chesterfield where she treated a wide variety of patients and was able to develop her skills and educate patients in the value of good dental care.

After four years in Chesterfield, she joined the team at Lindfield because she wanted to work in a practice which provides an established continuity of care,  and where there are long term relationships with patients.  This enabled her to steer her patients along the path of continuing high quality care, working with them to secure their long term dental health.  Chelsea finds it very pleasing that her patient care plans and detailed attention to oral health can lead to a marked reduction in the need for further dental work.

 Chelsea has a very understanding and approachable manner, and she provides her patients with a gentle yet thorough dental care, which she tailors to their individual needs.  Chelsea combines her academic achievements with courses of continuing professional development to provide meticulous and careful treatment to appreciative patients who return to her time and time again.
